Makwale handover ceremony

The Chinese company, building the road between Kyela and Matema, started this building as a compensation for the terrain they got from the village to put their offices.  We provided all the roofsheets and the materials for plastering and painting.

With over 1200 pupils, they are very short of classrooms. We therefore will start immediately with the construction of a 4-classroom building. In 2018/19 we will renovate the 7 other existing buildings.

Provided they get enough teachers, another 8 classrooms are planned for 2020/21.

During the ceremony, we saw some pupils performing traditional dances. Good to see that tradition is passed on to the next generation.
